*Horse training (ground work trail and road riding) This year has been a great year with training so far we have 13 broke to ride on the trails and road! We are full untill Sept 1st we usually take 6 in at a time but this month we took 8 in. We have a great big place stalls in barn your own tack stall if you want your own tack seperate pastures and 1 huge 25 acre pasture 400PLUS! acres to ride on beginner all the way to advanced trails with logs flat ground rocks big hills water crossings a pond ect.. We usually keep the horse in the stall the first day unless you want them kept in a stall then right out to pasture if we run out of pasture the horses get all the grass hay they can eat. After we work the horses they get grain plus equishine. We do a few days of ground work even if the horse is already broke just so they will get to know us and listen to us. We work them in the round pen arena trails then the road. We also have a dairy farm the horses will get used to a lot going on around them machinery cows pigs calves much more.We do training for 37 days or more what ever you would like and we work with the horses every day and usually get more then half the 37 days of riding 16 rides was the least we ever got because the horse needed ground and manner work and even that is ok usually its up to 25-30. days of riding time the best part about it is when the horse is done we will take you on a trail ride your horse or mine you can come ride your horse or watch us work with them any time. The horses also have lots of shelter in pasture. I have horses to give lessons on, or you can trailer yours to me. My traveling to you is also an option. Boarding horses at the farm is also an option to long term students (or anyone else interested.)
I am offering this to any level rider and children from age 5 and up (your never to old to learn!!!) Children (and adults) who do not feel comfortable DO NOT have to ride, and can focus more on learning the anatomy of horses as well as body language, general care, grooming, handling horses from the ground, ect. When they feel ready to do so, riding will become part of the lesson.
As for training - I train horses western and can do refresher courses, train them for a certain discipline, start them, work on ground manners/round penning, natural horsemanship, desensitize, you name it....I work with horses from weanlings and up - they are never too old to learn!!! Facilities are excellent and your horse will be in a roomy box stall with daily turn out, free choice of hay all day, and grain morning and night.
For boarders I also offer conditioning, showing, hauling, blanketing, ect.
The riding lessons will begin right away in June (I am having a baby in April, so will be taking half of April and probably most of May off) Boarding is available any time and training will also begin in June. For the month of March I will be meeting people and horses and giving rates and showing the facitlities and possibly giving introductory lessons to those who want them.
