Savannah is a 22 year old Standardbred mare. She has been on our farm in Galena for about three years after being purchased at auction. She was a fairly good racehorse in her day and has produced successful foals. We recently weaned her from her last foal. Given her age she will no longer be serviceable as a broodmare. I've been on her back a couple times. Although she didn't do anything dangerous I would not consider her broke. She has no vices and is very easy/safe to work around and handle. She gets along with everyone in the pasture from cows to foals to my boss mare. She is quiet for the vet and farrier. We keep her barefoot and have a farrier trim her every four months or so, which is all she ever needed. She is UTD on shots. We did not float her teeth this past year because she was in foal and we didn't want to stress her. Savannah would make a great pet or pasture mate. She is free to a good home. 18 y/o Standardbred. Romeo was a buggy horse before we bought him. So he can ride and drive. He is very flashy. Rides english, western and started jumping. He has been shown in english equitation and contesting. He is very fast and has a lot of knee action. Stands for a bath, lunges, loads, worms easily, clips and will stand like a rock to be groomed. Easy to catch in pasture and low on the pecking order. He is blind in his right eye, but he does not spook at shadows or spin in circles. HORSE FOR LEASE I am offering my Arab gelding for a quarter lease. This would entail about 3 days of riding a week for $110/month. No other financial obligations (like vet or farrier bills) are required. I am looking for an intermediate/experienced, petite rider with at least a few years of riding/instruction. Must have ridden English and is comfortable riding English. No children please. He has a background in dressage, endurance, halter and some jumping. He would also look great Western. He loves to trail ride but needs a very experienced rider to go out on trails with him as he gets high strung. But he is an absolute blast to ride if you are comfortable with him. I would be willing to let leasee take him to shows. He has a couple months of professional training in NC. He's a loving and affectionate horse with a lot of life in him. YMCA Camp Tippecanoe (Tippecanoe, Ohio – on the east side of Ohio) has a barnful of sound, bomb-proof, kid-friendly horses that need loving homes for the winter. They are used for trail riding and lessons from spring to fall, but it's not practical for us to keep them in the winter when we can't use them. A lease through the beginning of April is only $1, and the leasee is responsible for a reasonable standard of care: a safe home with frequent turnout, regular vet and farrier care, and keeping up with a regular deworming schedule.
