Equestrian Summer Camp

Bill Scott Horsemanship
"The Connection" One Horse, One Rider, One Mind"

Eileen (919) 658-8932 (evenings), Jana (910)385-5209 Bill Scott, this North Carolina horseman has developed a philosophy that melds the influences of such notable horsemen as Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, and Buck Brannaman- and the most influential teacher: the horse. A popular clinician, Bill has developed his program to help riders attain the connection he describes as "One Rider, One Horse, One Mind."
Horsemanship 1- No requirements- You will start with groundwork and throughout the weekend work up to advanced horsemanship maneuvers. You will be amazed how well your horse responds to you and becomes a willing partner.
Horsemanship 2- Requirements- to have ridden in a prior clinic with Bill, your horse must be able to maintain a soft feel, sustain a controlled canter, be able to ride with a loose rein, and be able to do some lateral work (leg yield, side pass, etc). This class will be working on more advanced lateral work, carrying softness, flying lead changes, etc.
o Clinic cost $350 for three days (made payable to Bill Scott)
o Facility use fee $50 per person for the three days (made payable to On the Bit Farm)
o Stalls/Paddocks will be $30 for the weekend (made payable to On the Bit Farm)
o Stalls do not include shavings. You must provide your own shavings, or we will have some at the farm for you to buy.
o Spectators/Auditors $15 per day (made payable to Jana Lake)
o Hotel accommodations - if you will need hotel accommodations, we will be glad to arrange, and/or give suggestions for area hotels.
o Lunch- we will break for one hour each day for lunch. Please bring a packed lunch, or there are area restaurants for you to choose from.
A $100 deposit fee is required to hold your slot in the clinic. This clinic will fill soon, so please mail your deposit in as soon as possible to make sure you have a spot to ride! Please mail $100 deposit check made payable to Bill Scott, to Jana Lake 8441 Minnie Hall Rd. Roseboro, NC 28382 by April 1st, 2008. Please submit a copy of your current coggins with your deposit. If not, show to me when you arrive. 2/3/08
