Grand Rapids
Built on 80 acres, Meadowview
Farm is a family-owned riding school and stable that has become
known for a tradition of quaility since 1984. Meadowview Farm today
is respected for the excellence of its teaching staff and for the outstanding
quality of its horses and horse care.
Meadowview Farm's principle objective is to provide a standard of instruction
that will build and improve riding skills at any level, focusing on
the principles of English Horsemanship, Showring Riding, and Polo Playing.
Lessons may be taken on school mounts or on your own horse. Horse boarding
is handled expertly at Meadowview Farm, as well as sales, training,
and conditioning of horses. Located between Ada and Lowell, Meadowview
Farm is a convenient drive from metropolitan Grand Rapids, as well as
the surrounding West Michigan area. The cornerstone of the Meadowview
Farm stable is its spacious 250' x 80' indoor arena, built to provide
comfortable riding throughout the year and to showcase indoor polo matches
and horse show competitions during winter months. A heated viewing area
/lounge overlooks the arena. Indoor walkways connect the arena with
72 stalls, seven tack rooms, and indoor/outdoor wash racks. Four outdoor
arenas accomodate flat, jumping, and polo lessons, as well as schooling,
hacking, polo scrimmages, and horse show competitions. There are large
grass pastures and paddocks for turn out, and the adjacent exercise
track opens out onto miles of trails for quiet hacks or spirited gallops.

Does your child want a horse? Maybe they've taken a few lessons here
and there, but do they know the real responsibility of taking care of
one? Here's the solution: HORSEMANSHIP CLASSES! I'm 18 yrs old and I
have a hobby farm in Lakeville, MN. During the winter and early spring
I teach (with the help of my good friends, Tex the pony and Ray Dee
the Quarter Horse) kids the responsibility of owning a horse. They learn
about different kinds of breeds, what and how much to feed, how to get
a horse ready for a show, how to clean stalls, and more. It's lots of
fun and the cost is only $10 per session. We meet saturday mornings
from 10-11am. No horse experience necessary. E-mail GenuineACE952@aol.com

****If your horse is located within 10 miles of the facility that I
use, and you would like for your horse to stay at your facility and
be trained by myself, I can travel to you for a separate fuel surcharge
fee.**** With training different horses, I ask that the horse comes
with a halter, lead rope, riding equipment, grooming equipment and any
sheets or blankets. I want to keep the health of your horse important
and having fitted equipment, their own grooming (or sheets, and blankets)
helps stop the spread of illness. If you have any questions, please
contact me.
Abate Performance is also now taking riders for beginning and intermediate
horseback riding lessons.
Lesson Rates start at: $10/per 30 minutes or $20/per hour.
You can trailer-in your own horse, or use my horse for a separate fee
of $5 per lesson. I can also travel to your barn for instruction, depending
on the distance, and with a added fuel surcharge of $.50 per mile.
Riders MUST have either a certified riding helmet of their own, or temporarily
use a bicycle helmet (with the permission of their parents). If you
must purchase a riding helmet, the best and cheapest priced helmets
can be found at your local Tractor Supply Co. Store. Riders MUST also
wear either appropriate riding boots or closed-toe boots with a 2-inch
heel. Tennis shoes are not safe for riding and should be used cautiously.
Finally, riders MUST wear either appropriate riding breeches or well-fitted
jeans, that the wearer is able to move freely in.
If you are interested in either training for you or your horse(s), you
can contact me by email: JockeyGirl15Luke@aol.com,
or by phone#1 419-944-3142 (please leave a message and I will get back
to you as soon as possible), phone #2 734-854-5815. I also insist that
if you are thinking about have a horse/pony trained, or receive riding
lessons. That you come out and watch me in action and get a feel for
the barn. I believe that the horse, owner (or rider) of the horse must
be able to feel comfortable in their surroundings and also get a feel
for my "training philosophy". 7/12/08
