Georgia Horse Activites

The 2nd annual statewide EQUESTRIAN TRAIL WORKDAY at all Georgia State Parks that provide equestrian trails will be Saturday, March 8, 2008. BCHNG will sponsor the work activities again this year. The trail activities begin promptly at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine. Several of us will be staying from Friday until Sunday. You are welcome to join us, camp for the weekend and ride the beautiful trails at Fort Mountain State Park! The park is located 3 mi. from Chatsworth off Hwy. 52E, at the end of Cliff Mine Rd. If you have never had the opportunity to ride there, the trails are really interesting and some pass historic Talc Mines. Many offer great vistas and are really beautiful. Fort Mountain State Park is the ONLY state park in North Georgia with horse facilities. Please contact Susan Shedd and come enjoy a weekend of fun and fellowship with other trail riders. Lunch will be furnished for volunteers and we are planning a pot luck supper on Saturday night. Bring a dish and join us!
Show your support and volunteer to be a part of this annual trail workday at this, much needed, horse camp here in North Georgia. We need to reserve campsites and stalls for those who will be staying overnight, so, please contact me for more information and to pre-register at 706-838-0392 or email s susan@bchng.org 2/4/08
