We live on a beautifull 5 acre ranch in Boulder Colorado called Lookout Ranch. Arabians, and Morgans among other breeds. Although Randi’s strength

Only can a person understand such an undertaking by personally involving him or herself in such a goal. We came to the table thinking we were open to learning what the market demanded, but only when our market research campaign was undertaken were we introduced to our preconceptions which were far from reality. Having grown up with an agricultural base and working for several operations revolving around horses, but also almost every sector of ranching, surely we had a grasp on the market. Of course, the market research effort would be undertaken because excellence means all aspects are carried out to their fullest extent, but surely we had already determined our "bread and butter" for success with a marketing plan, which created a whole new segment of boarders, therefore not having to battle for existing boarders. We would build a middle of the road facility to offer price competitiveness and our focus would be on the new boarder. A month into the market research effort, a very clear and very unexpected theme was arising. After speaking with between 50 and 75 boarders in that month's time a scripted dialog could be expected. The gist of the conversation would include us eagerly explaining the well thought out plan for Thunder Prairie Ranch which would be received by blank stares and nonexistent smiles. After our best attempt at marketing our plan, the boarder would respond with a statement very similar to "No offense, but we have heard this all before and nothing ever happens. I'm looking for a high end boarding facility and I will pay for it, but as of now I have not found anything. If you would be the one to do what you say and build an upscale boarding ranch then I promise you I will board with you, but as for now I just cannot waste anymore time moving my horse around based upon promises...". Seeing the absolute frustration and disappointment in such an overwhelming amount of boarders and all asking for such similar provisions, the decision was made to follow the instruction being provided by our market research part of our business plan. We believed in the carefully constructed business model we had laid out and had committed to follow it from the start. This was our first big challenge to adhere to such. So we set aside our tendency towards new boarders to attend to producing content existing boarders and we accepted the greater challenge to build a much more grand facility due to the overwhelming message from the customers asking for such than originally planned. It was at this point in time Thunder Prairie Ranch understood it would have to earn customer's trust through action and exceeding of expectations. Those factors have been the driving force and reasoning behind what Thunder Prairie Ranch is today. Thunder Prairie Ranc still has much to do including our next big up and coming project constructing Colorado's largest privately owned indoor arena at 140' x 300', a 42,000 square foot arena. However, we have come a very long way, and we take pride in the result of our dedication to thoroughness and quality. Our brand new twenty-six (26) stall super facility is a must see even if you have no interest in boarding. All stalls are made by Rockin' J® Stalls with available sizes including 12'x12', 12'x16', and 14'x16'. Each stall has its own automatic Nelson Waterer which is filtered, heated, and known as the best in the industry. Also included is an individual mineral block holder with mineral block and has a complete fitted base of 3/4" premium rubber stall mats. Several of the 12'x12' stalls have 12' x 40' runs constructed of 4-Rail 440® Steel Pipe Fencing and for these stalls Rockin' J® Dutch Doors allocate access to the runs. Any remaining stalls without runs are matched with a private one-acre paddock with 7 day per week turnout. The paddock is truly exclusive to the one horse in the given stall and is not shared with any other horses. The paddocks are made up of Finish-Line® PolyMonofilament Fencing by Bayco®. It is run five strands high, each strand offering a busting strength of 1250 lbs., through 4" round wood posts on 10' foot centers. Also included in the new facility is custom made tack lockers by Rockin' J® measuring 4'x4'x4' and included with each boarders board. Two separate hotwash racks are available for use as well as a second level private boarders club. Well kept men's and women's restroom facilities along with a Ranch Store also exist inside this incredible facility. As mentioned, you must see the facility to observe all the offerings and unique considerations. This does not begin to exhaust the amenities, but they are simply
